PRIVACY STATEMENT YOUR PRIVACY The Healthy Food Finder (HFF) is owned and operated by the NSW Ministry of Health (the Ministry). The Ministry is committed to safeguarding the privacy of your personal information, and has implemented measures to comply with its obligations under the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002, the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 and other relevant legislation. Under this legislation, you have the right to know the information that the Ministry collects from you, the purpose for which the information is collected, how the information is used and to whom, if anyone, the information may be disclosed. INFORMATION COLLECTED In order to register for the HFF, you will need to provide some personal information, including: • your name; • your email address; • your role; • the NSW Government department you work for (if applicable); • the type of school you work at or supply to (if applicable); and • the type of canteen you work at or supply to (if applicable). When you use the HFF, the Ministry will also record how many times you unsuccessfully attempted to login and your last successful login date and time. WHY WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION Your personal information is required because the food composition data available on the HFF has been supplied by SP Health Co. Pty Ltd trading as Digital Wellness (Digital Wellness), and the Ministry has an obligation to Digital Wellness to ensure that the key users of the data are: • NSW Health staff and volunteers; • NSW Department of Education and school canteen staff and volunteers; • NSW Health food and drink suppliers and retailers; and • staff of other NSW Government organisations. HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION The Ministry uses the personal information collected to operate and improve the HFF and personalise your experiences. The Ministry may also use your personal information to communicate with you via email in relation to the HFF. STORAGE AND SECURITY Your personal information will be stored in an appropriately secure format. Only the Ministry will have access to your personal information. When your personal information is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected it will be deleted. The Ministry applies a range of security controls to protect your personal information. However, the World Wide Web is an insecure public network and there is some risk that your transactions will be viewed, intercepted or modified by third parties or that files you download will contain computer viruses, disabling codes, worms or other devices or defects. The Ministry accepts no liability for any interference with or damage to your computer system, software or data occurring in connection with the HFF or its use. You are encouraged to take precautions to ensure that whatever is selected from this site is free of viruses or other contamination that may interfere with or damage your computer system, software or data. DISCLOSURE The Ministry will not disclose your personal information unless disclosure is necessary to: • comply with a legal obligation; • protect or defend the Ministry’s rights, interests or property or that of third parties; • prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the HFF; or • protect against legal liability. WILL THIS PRIVACY STATEMENT BE UPDATED OVER TIME? This Privacy Statement may be modified from time to time. The amended Statement will be posted to this site and will operate from the time it is posted.
